Modernizing Micro Finance for People Who Work in Informal Economic Sector and Categorized in the Bottom of the Pyramid

About Us

Amartha was established in 2010 as a micro-financing company in order to bridge micropreneurs with online potential lenders.

The amount of micropreneurs who had difficulties to raise funds for their business due to limited access, income fluctuation, and no credit history was the beginning of our story. We believe these micropreneurs can evolve to become quality borrowers with the right technology and the spirit of cooperation. Investing in microbusinesses is also proven to create a great deal of social impact.

We believe the easiness to funding access for micropreneurs will contribute to improve the well-being of the people categorized at the bottom of the pyramid, build economic resilience, and social justice for all.
