The following day after the conference, there will be an organized field trip to observe and engage with MSMEs activities in the rural areas through an organized trip, with pre-booked reservations only. The 3-hour long trip from the Conference Venue to the selected village for a maximum of 20 participants, facilitated by three minivans. The activities include observation, interactive workshops and engagement with Amartha’s customers, field officers and agents. The field trip starts/finishes at the Conference Venue.

Andi Taufan is an ITB graduate in Management and a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard University. Having a strong social compassion, Taufan pivoted in creating Amartha in 2010 as a microfinance institution then transformed into a financial technology company in 2016. Former Special Staff of The President of Republik Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, and Former Consultant, IBM. He has also received many awards such as Young Changemaker (2010), Ashoka: Penghargaan Satu Indonesia (2011), Astra: Laureate Global Fellow (2013) and Ganesha Innovation Champion Awards (2014).
Sri Mulyani Indrawati is the Minister of Finance of Indonesia since 2016. As finance minister, Sri Mulyani was known as a tough reformist and was largely credited with strengthening Indonesia’s economy, increasing investments and steering Southeast Asia’s largest economy through the financial crisis. In 2014, she was ranked as the 38th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes magazine.
Michael joined Accion in 2007 as a member of its Board of Directors and in 2009, became Accion’s President and CEO. Prior to his employment at Accion, Michael served as President of Citigroup’s International Franchise Management, where he managed the bank’s network of 100 Chief Country Officers. Before that, he ran communications, philanthropy, government relations, branding, and human resources for Citigroup. He served as Chief of Staff at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Clinton Administration and in New York’s City Hall in the Dinkins and Koch Administrations. He began his career in investment banking.
Bernhard Eikenberg serves as Partner of CIM Emerging Markets LLC (“CEM”) and co-founded the firm’s Emerging Markets strategy, where he focuses on investment and operations activities and is based out of Indonesia. Prior to co-founding CEM, Mr. Eikenberg spent a decade in various roles at Bamboo Capital Partners, an impact investment manager, where he served as Fund Manager for Bamboo’s fintech equity fund, Head of Financial Inclusion, and Regional Director for Latin America. Previously, he worked for BlueOrchard Finance, a microfinance investment manager, where he was responsible for debt operations in Central America and the Caribbean as well as local currency lending initiatives. Mr. Eikenberg began his career at JPMorgan in London, where he focused on fixed-income and currency derivatives.
Stephen is a senior director on the Private Equity Impact Team at Nuveen. He is primarily responsible for originating, underwriting and executing transactions globally for the team’s Inclusive Growth strategy. Stephen is also involved with the overall portfolio management of the team’s direct investments, and also represents the firm on several impact fund advisory committees. In addition, he is responsible for providing comprehensive research and analytical and operational support to the group’s core initiatives. Before joining the firm in 2014, Stephen worked as director of access to finance for Building Markets, a social enterprise based in New York that supports local businesses in post-conflict and developing countries. He has also held various positions at J.P. Morgan, Accenture and ATX Communications.
Hani brings 20 years of experience working across multiple jurisdictions spanning advisory, investment banking and private credit. He has an extensive background in emerging market private credit, recently serving as the Head of Debt Capital Markets at QInvest where he successfully established and executed the firm’s emerging markets direct lending strategy, deploying $500M in structured senior and mezzanine credit. Hani holds a BSc in Economics and Statistics and an MSc in Statistics from University College London.
Eddi Danusaputro currently serves as the CEO of BNI Ventures, a venture capital company under the auspices of BNI (Bank Negara Indonesia). Previously, he held the position of CEO at Mandiri Capital Indonesia (MCI) and also served as the President Commissioner at Amartha. He has a career spanning 12 years in fund management companies in Singapore, including Morgan Stanley, AXA, Makara Capital, Booz Allen Hamilton, and AT Kearney. Eddi Danusaputro holds an MBA from Duke University and a Doctorate in Management Science from the University of Indonesia.
Joshua Agusta joined the Vertex Ventures SE Asia team in 2022. He is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Prior to joining Vertex, Joshua was a Director of Venture Funds at Mandiri Capital Indonesia, the corporate VC arm of Bank Mandiri, one of the largest financial institutions in Indonesia. During his tenure at Mandiri Capital, he successfully set up and led the creation of Indonesia Impact Fund ($25Mn AUM) and Merah Putih Fund ($300Mn AUM). Joshua was also one of the founding team at MDI Ventures, the Corporate VC arm of Telkom Indonesia, Indonesia’s largest telco company. His last held position was a Vice President of Investments where he led all the investment operations of MDI Ventures and managed to secure a total of 7 exits during his tenure.
Lesly Goh is the Senior Advisor, former Chief Technology Officer for the World Bank Group. She is a Fellow at Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF) Judge Business School and Senior Fellow at National University of Singapore (NUS) Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Lesly brings an extensive international experience, advising government policy makers and central banks on the regulatory impact from emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G , Cloud and Edge Computing. Prior to the public sector role, Lesly built a solid technology career in private sector such as Microsoft, Deloitte and startups. She is a certified Data Architect and worked on many high-profile Data and AI initiatives in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare/Life Sciences and Digital Government, including Smart Cities designed for resilience. Lesly is member of the WEF Global Future Councils on Data Policy – Platform for shaping the Future of Technology Governance on data policy.
Putri Tanjung, born on September 22, 1996, is the youngest Presidential Special Staff of Indonesia and holds multiple roles at CT Corp as the Commissioner and Chief Experience Officer. Her leadership extends to multiple entities, holding the position of CEO at Trans Digital Lifestyle Group, overseeing Female Daily, Beautynesia, HaiBunda, and CXO Media. Additionally, she serves as the Chief Experience Officer of Allo Bank. Her notable achievements include receiving the Satyalencana Wira Karya medal of honor Medal of honor from the president of republic of Indonesia for her dedication in empowering SMEs in August 2023 and being recognized as one of Indonesia’s Forbes 30 under 30 in March 2022.
